For facial animations shot in motion capture, Geppetto proved to be a very useful addition to our existing processes. When we needed to modify (due to a technical or synchronization problem, or a late rewrite) the lip part of a facial animation shot in mocap, Geppetto enabled us to save 55% of the production time it would have taken if we had done the same retouching entirely in keyframe. This enabled us to concentrate the keyframe effort solely on polishing, which is consistent with our approach to viable mocap animations.
